ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In this industrial style wall art I used patina just as paint. After coating a heavy textured board with a reactive iron paint I created rust in different layers and tecniques. The accent of verdigris is obtained by oxydizing a reactive copper paint. I chose a matt varnish to protect the surface not to alter the natural aspect of metal patina. Measurements: cm 91 x 91 x 2.5 kg 4.7 inches 36 x 36 x 1 1/2 lb 10.36

My work is deeply influenced by nature, mostly wavy, abstract forms based on what I see on wood, bark, vegetables, animal or a rock formation. I focus on a particular organic texture and I bring it in the circumscripted space of an artwork. My wall reliefs with their three-dimensionality, can be observed from multiple angles and different kinds of lighting will have different impacts on the artwork. The physical textures create patterns of variation that stimulate the sense of sight and touch. I like to create patina on metal finishes since the oxydation is always unpredictable, different and unique. I collaborate with collectors, art consultants and interior designers, creating bespoke pieces of art custom designed for each project.
