African elephants Painting

African Elephants I have been very lucky and privileged to visit forests since I was a little child, my father being in the forest department. Forests and wildlife have always been an inspiration for me and a way to connect with the environment. This is a painting of African elephants (mother and child) in their natural habitat. Many of the species are endangered now because of loss of habitat due to climate change and deforestation. We have to understand that a disbalance in the ecosystem can lead to adverse effect. It might not be visible immediately but it will definitely affect our future generations. My painting is a depiction of a beautiful specie but at the same time it also makes us realize that soon these species will only be seen in pictures and paintings due to extinction if we do not take serious steps towards their conservation.
