ABOUT THE ARTWORK

There is a lot of inspiration for me in Africa. Very much. These are my children, who are of African blood, and the unique nature of this continent, and the direct culture, and of course people who are bright, strong, full of passion.

Hello, my name is Sirin Moon. I am a professional artist from Russia. I create my works within the framework of a concept I call Existential Historicism. This concept is based on a worldview approach based on the centralization of a person's personal history, his path and internal transformation, as well as on the study of the dynamics of personality development in the context of his personal history. A person's personal history plays a central role. Art in this process acts as a tool with which a person cures and studies the reality being lived. At the same time, the style, technique, and even the art form itself (painting, dance, literature, cinema, photography) is not so important. The effect of psychotherapy itself is important, the healing role of art. Speaking more figuratively, the concept of Existential historicism is based on the idea that the life of each individual is a movie where he is a director, screenwriter and protagonist at the same time. But he doesn't always realize it. It can be anything - an eccentric comedy or a psychological drama, a thriller or a detective, an action or an arthouse, or perhaps all together, this is not the main thing. The bottom line is that everyone in his film learns about himself, his value, his Way. Everyone goes through a certain transformation, gets experience, changes. And this is valuable in itself. But being "inside our film" we do not notice this, we do not see movement, we lose the thread of the storyline, we devalue what is happening to us. And in order to be able to return to the right moment, rethink it, relive it, or just remind ourselves that life is going on, and that something is happening in it every moment, even if it doesn't seem important to us, we need "anchors". Such freeze-frames from our lives. It's like polaroid snapshots, imprints of feelings, emotions, impressions, dreams, fears, dreams, actions captured in a work of art. This is something that is designed to remind us that the path we are going through is important and valuable, it makes sense. That is, with the help of the artistic language used in literature, fine art, music, dance, performance, or other art form, works are created that allow you to relive, realize, explore or even predict future situations, feelings, emotions, thoughts, images, dreams.
