About The Artwork
Inspired by studies made by 19th century french painter Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres as well as a love for anatomy and kinesiology, I created this painting over a series of several months, adding a new figure and not knowing which part I'd add next. The colors are muted and neutral. I used earth based colors which fade very, very, very little over time (also used by cave painters countless years ago). Painted on stretched linen, with the right circumstances this painting will last many hundreds of years.
