Come on in pilgrim.
al·lit·er·a·tion
/əˌlidəˈrāSH(ə)n/
noun
the occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely connected words.

in this case; berries, blues, buttocks, boot, boat, blow, bow, black, blah, blah, blah.

3rd in a series of paintings 5ft square based on collages i've made on colored construction paper. My collage process is a violent and desstructive cathartic response to winter. I try to make things dis-integrate instead of integrating and making sense. There is a nod to dada and to the idea of the exquisite corpse accept the collaboration is between my winter self and spring self.

"The eagle and the serpent are at war in me
The serpent fighting for blind desire
The eagle for clarity
What strange prizes these battles bring"
-Joni Mitchell
from Don Juan's Wreckless Daughter

from Wikifreakinpedia:
Exquisite corpse, also known as exquisite cadaver (from the original French term cadavre exquis), is a method by which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence, either by following a rule (e.g. "The adjective noun adverb verb the adjective noun." as in "The green duck sweetly sang the dreadful dirge.") or by being allowed to see only the end of what the previous person contributed.
