ABOUT THE ARTWORK
For this work I was inspired by the furniture in the House Museum of the painter Joaquín Sorolla in Madrid. I was very attracted by the texture and colour of the armchair. Thinking about all the history that can be behind an antique piece of furniture, the people who used it, the thoughts, the conversations. The painting is oil on linen. This work was exhibited at the Museo Metropolitano de Monterrey, México.
