ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Although abstract, my paintings tend to have strong central images and a background. In this instance, the "location" is obviously aerial (or so it seems to me) and the elements of the image suggested to me the title it bears, which I believe is or was in World WarTwo, the RAF code for 5000 feet. Having said that, the viewer will, of course, interpret the images as s/he sees fit. A warning; my work is painterly. It has areas in which there are distinct brushmarks and surface irregularities that are intentional and catch the light in different ways.

I was born in 1948 in Balham, S.London.I was a lecturer in FE from 1978 - 2008; now I'm a full-time artist.
I do acrylics, watercolour and oil pastel on heavy duty watercolour paper and canvas and use rollers,scrapers and scissors to get textures.
