ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was inspired by a trip to Scotland and was completed immediately upon returning to the States as part of a whole body of work dedicated to the trip. A friend and I explored the Inner Hebrides by boat and this painting depicts the area from which we embarked on our journey. The sky was moody and foreboding. We took a boat out to the Corryvreckan Whirlpool. The sky was churning as much as the sea was that day.
