Born Arlington, VA, USA Currently living and working in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I am a fine artist as well as a working illustrator. My perception of things is expressed in a narrative form. The style is cartoon-influenced, yet painterly; sometimes refined, sometimes crude. My influences range from the scenes of everyday life in the margins of medieval manuscripts, early Renaissance art, Indian narrative folk painting, Latin American Fantastic Realism and Mexican Social Commentary, Underground Comix and Graphic novels. I draw my subjects from daily life, news stories, history and dreams. I call my style Post-Medieval Illumination.
