I am interested in the state of falling; before, during and after. Originally, this stemmed from a personal experience and over time it has evolved into a larger concept. No matter which side you stand on during any type of change, there is a shared sense of collapse and loss but also freedom. This is true whether the outcome is positive or negative. Falling feels intensely individual because of the helplessness that accompanies the descent. More often than not, one falls alone. However, the experience is very human and therefore universal.
