ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was inspired by the change of seasons. There are some glorious colors this time of year and I wanted to capture them as well as intensify their saturation. Fall is about letting go and beginning anew. This painting is one of transition. We still see the glimmer of summer beauty lingering in the bushes, but the darker days are encroaching. Now is a time to reflect upon the warm summer days and prepare for the cool nights ahead.

Hello and thank you for dropping by. My name is Diana, I was born and raised just North of Toronto. I lived on a hobby farm with my parents and 3 siblings. We had sheep, chickens and rabbits and a very large vegetable garden. I lived in what felt like the woods. Our little house was surrounded by huge Maple trees. I like to think that the trees raised me. I also teach art at the Wyndham School of Art in Guelph Ontario. I paint in my home studio.
