Ornella Stingo was born in Rovigo in 1971. Always attracted by the design and painting, playing with colors in the studio of her father Ugo (), Neapolitan painter award-winning, among the many art competitions, when he was only 30 years old, with the gold medal of the Italian Republic President G.Saragat in 1970. She began his work in Naples immediately after graduation of Scientific High School with a first solo exhibition of drawings at the "Galleria Scarlatti "(1988). In 1990, accessed at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples ( set design) that will leave having gained an interest in drawing and comics, and after the sudden death of cartoonist Attilio Micheluzzi that he would have recommended her with enthusiasm. In 1991 she enrolled in the course of advertising illustration at the Italian School of Communication ILAS "Illustrators Associates", where between '91 and '94 produced various pictures as a freelancer (one of the most important works: illustrations for Edenlandia and SELECT ). From '91 to '93 is working with two Architects Guido Puca and Riccardo Dalisi. In '92 she won, with a sculpture of brass inserted into a pomegranate, the 2nd prize of the first edition of "Art Nativity" held at the Castel dell 'Ovo and in '93, its second year, she won the "Special Prize of the Public" with a nativity scene made out of bread. Until 1998 she worked for leading advertising agencies in Naples and Publishers creating, among many, the illustrated posters for the meeting of G7 (Naples 1994). In '98 she won a scholarship to work for nine months at the Agency Forum&Dueà, with the certificate of the Professional Training Course on behalf of Unione Industriali srl UNI.SERVICE. In '99 she moved to Bologna where she opened her studio in Via Volturno devoting herself full time to painting and interior decoration (trompe l'oeil). Versatility allows her to move easily in different arts such as sculpture, decal, etching technique and she is able to reproduce any artist's paintings (). The ten yearly experience on making portraits and “still life” makes her prefer the realistic style to realize paintings that look like photos, and also appeared in ads (Buscofen) and fiction (L'Ispettore Coliandro- Rai2).
