ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The BMW 3.0 CSL racer was a successful homologation special from the regular BMW E9 series. Today this car is revered as one of the most sought after BMW´s. Between 1972 and 1973 only 1265 have been built, making it one of the rarest sport cars from the Bavarian manufacturer. Under the hood of this special vehicle is a 3 litre six cylinder specially tuned for the CSL since it has been a homologation special for a racer. The power output was over 200 horsepower, making it one of the fastest vehicle of the 1970s. On this realistic oil painting we can see the racing version of the Batmobile. The car was called this name because of the special aerodynamic features it had. This uniqure artwork is a must have for any petrohead with soft spot for German auto racers.
