ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Barguzin is a wayward tributary of Lake Baikal. The main waterway of Buryatia. The name of the river is borrowed from the eastern Baikal wind Barguzin, which operates with incredible pressure. The Buryat population "tied" the name to the river, as its flow is swift. One of the meanings of the word "Barguzin" is power, very great strength.

I was born in Siberia in 1976. I live and work in Irkutsk. Member of the Russian Creative Public Organization “The Union of Artists of Russia”. Associate Professor of the Department of Monumental and Decorative Painting and Design named after V. G. Smagin of Irkutsk National Research Technical University. I only feel what is happening inside me deep in my heart. It is difficult to explain the creative process. And I think that no one knows how images are born, no one has yet comprehended this. This is a certain sacrament. For one, images appear in a dream, for others - spontaneously, like a flash, someone draws ideas from literature ... How to draw the right thread from a ball of thoughts and emotions? I can only say that I always work with pleasure, regardless of whether I am painting, typing a mosaic or working on sketches. I am interested in creativity, I try, study, move, sometimes feel, think. I love this, this is mine. My grandfather was a teacher of drawing and drawing, and as a child I spent a lot of time with him. Perhaps it was communication with my grandfather that pushed me to the fact that an interest in fine art awoke in me. Graduated from the children's art school. My parents were very surprised when I persistently decided to enter the Irkutsk Art School, but they supported me and I came to the course led by Vladimir Kuzmin, a man of great soul, an honored artist. She graduated from the painting pedagogical department, i.e. left the walls of her native school as an artist-teacher. Then there were five years of study with the national artist Vitaly Smagin at the Irkutsk State Technical University at the department of monumental and decorative painting and new discoveries for my mind, comprehension of the possibilities of color. After graduation, I stayed to teach at the department. For me, working as a teacher has already become a need, a constant desire to share my own experience. Moreover, this kind of activity organizes well. I would like to note that today there are many talented students, which is a pleasure. In working with my students, I constantly discover something new, I learn myself. Indeed, in order to give something, you must first comprehend it yourself. Higher education gave me ample opportunities to acquire skills in working with various monumental technologies, to better understand the purpose of art.
