Beauty and chaos are what brings me to this piece. We all know that New York has its bad moments too. This last work addresses how a mixture of mental health issues and poor upbringings can result in someone taking an innocent life. It pays homage to a man who was stabbed and killed on the corner of 95th and Broadway. The innocent bystanders appear dashing in disbelief. Running away from the thought of someone losing their life right on the very street they stand on.

About The Artwork

This artwork draws me in with its juxtaposition of beauty and chaos. New York City, like any place, has its share of difficult moments. This particular piece delves into the complex intersection of mental health struggles and challenging upbringings, which tragically led to the loss of an innocent life. It serves as a tribute to a man who was fatally stabbed on the corner of 95th and Broadway. The bystanders depicted in the artwork are seen dashing in disbelief, their emotions palpable as they grapple with the reality of a life lost on the very street where they stand. The piece evokes contemplation on the fragility of life and the profound impact of violence within our communities.
