ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Blanket draws from my childhood by the ocean, where the daily arrival of the marine layer brought a sense of comfort and protection. The repetitive in-and-out rhythm of the fog, much like the ocean's waves, became a natural part of life—a blanket of atmosphere wrapping around the day. By shifting steel pigment in a specialized medium, I create patterns that echo this rhythmic flow. This process, repetitive and meditative, mirrors the comforting ritual of being enveloped in a blanket each night.
