Although this painting started off as an abstract composition only, it soon became apparent that there was a resemblance to flowers or feathers in an arrangement. The movement of seeds captured in the top part reminded me of the Elton John song "Candle in the wind"

I am an practicing architect with my wife- SM!T ARCHITECTS (www.smitarchitects.co.za) I am also a professor in architecture- teaching masters students in architecture, University of the Free State, South Africa. However, I've been drawing and painting since childwood and do it as a hobby today. Inspiration is mainly derived from the natural landscape as well as character studies. Similar to architectural investigations, I like exploring abstract forms and experiments.
