IF ANY ONE WISHES TO VIEW MY MOST RECENT WORKS. YOU CAN VIEW THEM ON INSTAGRAM. I HAVE NOT UPLOADED ANY MORE YET ON SAATCHI. THE PAINTINGS ON INSTAGRAM ARE MAINLY ON SCRAP PAPER. But I have over 400 paintings and drawings, old and new. I often use scrap paper from drawing pad or go over old works. I use acrylic first. Then oil paint. I AM GOING TO START ON LARGER WORKS. BUT JUST CANT AFFORD IT ATM. They are for sale on instagram. Just Dm me. Old news. I have just up loaded a new painting. First one for many months as I have been busy drawing. These new paintings are moving on from the works I already have on Saatchiart, continuing on from my drawings. All new paintings are and will be on instagram, but occasionally will upload paintings to Saatchi. On Instagram I have 300 plus of my most recent drawings. Art is my passion. I have been painting and drawing all my life. When I paint I often use many layers to get to a result I am happy with. Scribbling text and images, often not recognisable is my way of expressing myself. My works are very personal. I don’t like talking about what they mean (as I don’t know myself) if I do know, I won’t talk about them. I leave it up to the viewer to figure it out with the help of the titles. I don’t spell the words correctly but change them around and often use the phonetic sound of a word when it’s possible. I also do this with the titles and include my name scribbled on the painting and drawings along with other words roughly written, which is all part of the composition. My work is not tidy, it’s not meant to be. I like to be free and am not interested in making it perfect. I leave all the rawness of paint and the process which I have been through. I love to work on large canvases, but have not been able to in the last year due to a bad fall where I broke my arm. I am still recovering, though have started to paint again on smaller canvases. I have been drawing when I can, as I have so much to say on paper as well as canvas. When I work on the large canvases, I imagine that I’ve jumped into the canvas and can move around and be part of the painting itself. Imagination, being intuitive, and spontaneous allows images and characters to form on the canvas as I paint. I don’t think about trying to paint or draw something, I just let my pencil or brush flow on the canvas or paper. When I was a child I spent hours drawing and painting and also reading.
