ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This is the second painting in a series dedicated to Diana Vreeland. Her famous red room has always been associated with eccentricity and passion for life, but I wanted to see it differently. I wondered: how would her iconic room feel if it were blue? How would its energy and atmosphere change? I explored these questions on the canvas, playing with color and mood to create my own unique vision. I love experimenting, discovering new facets in the familiar, and uncovering new meanings. I believe art is a constant process of exploration and reinterpretation, a chance to see the world from a different angle.

True beauty isn’t about perfect forms, it’s the story that imperfections tell. Ideals? Forget them — real beauty lies in the nuances and the flaws. Leave room for adventure, experimentation, and deep breaths to relax and let go of internal barriers. That’s why I love art and fashion — they offer the freedom to express oneself. I was born in Ukraine in 1984, and from a young age, I was drawn to art and fashion. I graduated from art and music schools, followed by a school of fashion design. Later, I earned a degree in engineering from Kharkov Aviation University. After completing my degree, I moved to Kyiv, where I began working in the fields of art, events, and fashion. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember — both for commissions and for myself, always experimenting with materials, colors, and techniques. I’ve participated in exhibitions and showcased my work at private events. My art reflects an internal conflict between discipline and spontaneity, between the pursuit of perfection and the desire for freedom. I’m proud that my paintings adorn interiors around the world: in Ukraine, London, Israel, USA, Canada, Turkey, Sweden, and beyond. With the onset of the war in Ukraine, I relocated to Georgia, where I continue to live and work.
