This contemporary painting, created in oil on paper and inspired by Japanese woodblock prints, abstractly depicts a landscape where a warrior rests. The serene scene is infused with dynamic spray strokes, adding a modern touch to the traditional inspiration. Abstract forms and delicate lines evoke a sense of tranquility and respite, contrasting with the warrior's implied past struggles. The harmonious blend of colors and textures creates a peaceful yet vibrant composition, capturing the essence of rest and renewal in a uniquely expressive manner.

I am interested in certain images from which I can extract relevant information. It wouldn't make sense for me to make a total abstraction, or something clearly recognizable. I think it is important to maintain a geometric or structural remnant that promotes the sensation of remembering something, a visual construction to decipher or understand. Horror vacui generated by the influence of Tapestry Art, ceramics, mosaics, heraldic shields or Japanese prints into the context of hypertext painting let me play with the white background of the paper or canvas that acts as a context between the spontaneity of the brushstrokes. On a practical level, I am interested in superimposing, skewing the information in the image, placing tension on the margin or playing with color through pictorial exercises of freedom.
