When I traveled to California from Missouri, I had to stop to paint this watercolor. I was amazed at this amazing place. Heat. The sun. Salt. The mountains. This is the famous Salt Flats Rest Area Westbound. Thousands of people stop here to see the beauty of the Salt Lake on Interstate 80. I share m...

Hi dears, I've been passionate about art since early childhood. One day, when I was 4, I painted on the wallpaper in my house. My mother was not very happy, although she understood I would become an artist))) I entered the University in Lipetsk, Russia. There I learned the basics of painting, drawing and composition. We also studied how to create art using various materials and techniques, such as oil, watercolor, graphics. In the middle, our group of students was selected to paint an Orthodox church in the downtown of Lipetsk. There I gained experience in iconography, ornamentalism and monumental painting. At that time I became religious. Ancient Christianity - Orthodoxy absorbed me. I have studied the history of Christianity a lot. This became the basis for my future career as an iconographer. After graduating from university, I was mostly engaged in iconography, although painting has always been present in my career. I participated in the painting of some churches in Kazakhstan and Russia. Also, I painted icons on wood using ancient Byzantine technology. This is a unique egg tempera technique using natural materials such as gold leaf, garlic, beer, bovine bile and others. Several years later, I graduated as a theologian at the University of Ryazan, Russia. I gained a vast knowledge of Christian theology and culture. In 2017, I visited the USA. There my husband, an Orthodox priest, received an offer to serve in a church in Missouri. We have traveled a lot in the USA. My sketchbox was always with me. The depth of colors of the American sky, nature and oceans struck my artistic eye. I painted, painted, painted ... I painted in the fierce freezing wind of the Atlantic Ocean of New York, in the mountains of California, in the picturesque states of the MidWest, on the edge of the Grand Canyon, in sweltering Florida and invigorating Chicago. I continue my work day after day. The philosophy of my art is the beauty created by God. This beauty is reflected in both nature and man. In each of my paintings I strive to share the mood, the emotion, the impression that I experience here and now. Almost all of my paintings I paint from nature, open air. I try to express without distortion the world that the Creator made with His Own Hands. He created everything majestically and perfectly. My task is only to convey this, passing it through my heart. There is a lot of Darkness in the world and I would like to increase the position of Light.
