This painting is made out of the remnants of the buildings that inspired it. I collected bricks from abandoned lots and derelict buildings in Philadelphia, crushed them with a mortar and pestle, and used them in these paintings. The cooler tones are oil paint and cold wax medium. This painting is on primed MDF board. It is not framed or cradled, but has grooves in the back for hanging on screws.
