In this particular painting of my Brooklyn Bridge series, I wanted to convey a feeling of not being able to reach, like in a nightmare, and I took inspiration on "Christina's World" painting by probably my favourite 20th Century American artist, Andrew Wyeth. The figure is out of proportion as if she doesn't fit in her world and she is gasping for air.

There she studied Printmaking at the Ruskin School of Art in Oxford, and was Founder Member of the Oxford Printmakers Cooperative Association.
