ABOUT THE ARTWORK
David Beynon Pena (1958-2016) did several paintings of Lord & Taylor that year with very different themes, with the intention of selling it to the CEO. He sent a photograph of the painting which the CEO framed, but he did not buy the original painting until years later. It was pretty funny because the CEO gave the framed photo to a thrift store and David's mother saw it and bought it. This is an original, signed David Beynon Pena oil painting of Lord & Taylor with lots of action, shopping, a cab, people rushing around. David put in lots of flags because he said flags are a sure way to sell a painting. It's a light, bright, fast and fun artwork for your wall!
