Butter Cups Painting

I love to create realistic and also impressionistic drawings and paintings with inspiration from the painters of the 20th century. I paint what I see, that connects with my soul and brings out the emotions untold to the world. As an artist, I break down the whole scene into shapes and elements of painting. My paintings are represented in still life, portraits, florals and landscapes in varied mediums such as oil, charcoal, graphite, and watercolor. I was initially tutored by Chris Di Dimizio in classical realism; I am a self- taught artist for the most part and was inspired from reading the books of renowned artists and watching the master’s work. I have been inspired by painters like Sargent, Richard Schmidt, Daniel Gerhartz, Steve Putrich, and Cesar Santos. I have also been an art teacher for many years, for both kids and adults, and also doing portrait commissions. I am represented by Tranquility Fine Arts Gallery, Woodstock, GA. I am a member of Oil Painters of America, Dunwoody Fine Arts Alliance, and Roswell Fine Arts Alliance. I have won many awards locally and represented in national show (Marietta Cobb Museum of Art). In a world of constant technological advancement, I want my paintings to connect to the viewer, kindle their emotions and make them feel alive.
