ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This painting is part of a serie called "By the Border". After my work with "The Aftermath" I was inspired by Piaget. In order to learn something new we have to stand by the border of what we know and experience as secure and by the border of the unknown. I wanted to explore that border by apply what I've learned as a painter for the las t 20 years and the push it as far as I could. My goal was to set myself in a mental landscape where I just had some landmarks which helped me orient myself in this new development.
