Zita Dantas is a self-taught artist working mostly with oil on canvas. She was born in Mozambique and is especially fascinated by the warm colours of Africa and its people. Zita favours figurative painting, specifically faces and landscapes. She finds a great fulfilment in painting in oils and her pictures are the result of dedication and the search for personal satisfaction.. - . She does not lack for precision to paint, the reasons for which are familiar. The various subjects that the author paints may convey a sense or searching for or of losing something in her desire, but nothing like that. It gives her the freedom to paint in order to understand that in each frame that she paints, she diversifies various techniques and knowledge. Her intuition is right following a careful path, selective with pride for what she creates. She seeks the sensuality and elegance in the Impressionism of Renoir, clearing the technique of this master. Without having many rules, following a few standards that she has been learning more than ever, Zita Dantas feels comfortable in writing with colours and ink on her canvases. She is happy with what is produced and art is just that, we are able to produce without fear, being bold and courageous in showing what many people would like but do not, fleeing to the reality of the desires of each of them.
