Textured painting of Castlerigg Stone Circle , the neolithic site is thought to be one of the oldest stone circles in the country, which could have been constructed as far back as 3000 BC. I have painted this scene, as a crystal , clear day, which has given the viewer defined shadows, and fantasic light, to highlight the atmosphere and energy of this place. Painted on all sides with pallet knife and brush.

She then takes away or adds more paint over these marks when dry, as the scene starts to take shape. This gives her work a textual and realist look and feel, so the viewer can be lost momentarily within the scene. In her work Hazel sends out a message of not only the beauty of trees, but also how important they are to the future of the climate.
