Hi there! I'm Aniika (Anne-ih-kuh), an oil painter and video creator who loves to share my creative process with others. For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to the beauty and expressive potential of oil painting. There's something incredibly satisfying about taking a blank canvas and turning it into a stunning work of art that speaks to the heart and soul. In addition to my passion for oil painting, I've also found great joy in creating videos that showcase my artistic process. Through my videos, I'm able to share the tools, techniques, and insights that go into creating a beautiful painting. I love to take my viewers on a journey from the initial sketches and color palette choices to the final brushstrokes that bring the piece to life. For me, art is all about storytelling. I strive to create paintings that tell a story and evoke emotions in the viewer. Whether it's a landscape that captures the beauty of the natural world or a portrait that captures the essence of a person's soul, my goal is to create something that resonates with others. Through my oil paintings and videos, I hope to inspire others to tap into their own creativity and embrace the beauty of the artistic process. I believe that art has the power to connect people, transcend language barriers, and bring joy and beauty into the world. --------- Aniika Gjesvold Cantero is an award winning contemporary realist painter who lives and works in Scottsdale, Arizona. A native of the great northwest, her colorful paintings often depict nature imbued with classical elements. Her distinctive personal style produces works that blend a sense of wonder with sophistication. Cantero’s artwork can be found in collections across the U.S. and internationally. Her painting “Dutch Modern” placed third in the abstract/experimental category in Artists Networks’ 37th Annual Art Competition where she was featured in the December 2020 issue of the magazine. She is currently represented by Five3 Gallery located in Laguna Beach, California and possesses membership with the International Guild of Realism and Oil Painters of America.
