About The Artwork

The painting shows a man lying on the ground with clear symptoms of drunkenness. You can also see the marks that life has left on his face, possibly he had a boxing past judging by the shape of his nose. Society closes its eyes to people who have to live on the streets as if they did not exist. I don't think the reasons that led to this situation justify why, nor that anyone should set themselves up as their judge. Life is cruel to the most helpless and I believe that only charitable institutions are not enough and I think that despite everything they should be cared for with the dignity that human beings deserve.

I have always had the ability to develop any artistic activity, in my case I think that the artist is born although I consider that it is better to receive training to improve the technique. At the age of 15, while working in a ceramics workshop, I studied sculpture at a Fine Arts school in my hometown (Valencia, Spain), but I was too young and my youthful concerns were stronger and I abandoned my studies in pursuit of adventure and the fun. Fatally (by the way) I fell into chaos and barbarism, losing all discipline and values as a person. Becoming almost like an animal, I immersed myself in the worst environments until I hit rock bottom (although you could always go lower). I decided to get out of that kind of life and little by little and with great efforts I began to distance myself from everything related to those environments. . Maybe the strength I needed to be able to get out of that voltex was given to me by my Azkenazi Jewish ancestors. As I have already explained, I was totally away from any artistic manifestation for a long time, but I never stopped appreciating a good work of art. Over time the possibility of creating came and I started from scratch to paint without much rigor, guided by what people painted then, but I realized that I did not identify with that style, I did not understand what Modern Art is (nor I still understand it) and I began to try other things, Pyrography, Mosaic, Sculpture in wood and iron, some bronze and finally I returned to painting, without fashions, as you can see, the same painting that fills most museums of the world. Although I never completely detached myself from art, I have had periods in which due to circumstances I have not been able to develop it, but fortunately today I enjoy painting and every day I feel happier to be able to create and communicate to others through forms and colors that I capture on my canvases I am not a person who believes in exhibitions or competitions, I believe that art today is pure commercialism, although it may have always been that way and I do not want to recognize it, thinking romantically that it is a divine creation to be seen with the soul and felt with the soul. the heart. https://www.boropintor.com/
