ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A new born foal, surprisingly arrived a week ago. The owner bought the Clydesdale mare not knowing she was in-foal. Painted from life with oil paints on linen. I don´t like to copy photos. I like to watch the horses on the pasture with one or two easels and sketchbook.Beginning a few sketches and wait for a similar position, doing a few brushstrokes from observation and memory. Fighting against the heat or cold, wind, mosquitos and a lazy brain.
