Michael was born in Bow , London in 1950 and studied at the St. Martins School of Art (Central School of Art) central London, studying Fine Art, Art History, Portrait Sculpture, stone and marble carving and stained glass design. Some of my carvings can be viewed at Sherborne Abbey. My work includes commissions from : Nelson Mandela, Henry Cooper, Sir Patrick Moore (South Downs Observatory), HRH the Duke of Kent, Needles Masonic Lodge (Isle of Wight) and an altar piece for the Holy Island of Iona (western Isles of Scotland). I have had works also exhibited at : The Images of God Exhibition, Central Milton Keynes, Philadelphia (USA). I have spent many years teaching life drawing and individual tuition in all mediums, with my preferred mediums being mainly in oils, using traditional style portraits, and also in the Renaissance and Victorian styles. I also paint fine botanical studies in watercolours and desigm animal portraits in oil and stone.
