ABOUT THE ARTWORK
When I am creating a work of art, my primary source is the marks I add to the surface. All else evolves from there; the texture and color, movement and depth. I don't always have something specific in mind, just a feeling or emotion that often evolves as the meaning begins to surface. Working with color gives me great pleasure. I love manipulating it and mingling it with the lines and texture, teasing out shapes and forms amidst the entangled atmospheres. I experience a deep joy of working with these timeless formal elements which I hope the viewer will be able to experience in some way."
