Black white cubism & geometric oil painting "GS III"

Dimensions: height 52.5 cm (20.47 in) and width 42.5 cm (16.53 in).

Materials: black oil, bright white acrylic, black marker, palette knife, very thick and sturdy paper (why I use paper and why it is better than other materials, read below).

Painting style: black and white monochrome, black and white abstraction, modern cubism, geometric abstract painting, and probably a little abstract expressionism painting.

And now I will tell you why I draw on paper.
I think this is one of the best and most convenient materials for painting. Firstly, I can make paper of any size I need from smallest to largest. Secondly, it is very convenient to store and transport it to other places and countries. Thirdly, it is convenient and beneficial for you connoisseurs of painting: unlike canvas, paper of the same size will cost you much cheaper. And finally, I really love pictures that are framed under glass, and paper is ideal for such frames, although of course you can arrange paper without glass, just in a regular frame. You can also be sure that I always choose very durable paper, and painting on such material will delight you for many years. I always paint with oil, so the paper is always covered with the first layer of enamel, and the second and third layers with acrylic, and this makes the paper even thicker and stronger. I would even say that its strength is even better than that of canvas.

A little history of the painting: skyscraper «GS III» this is the third painting from my collection about skyscrapers in big cities. By the way, I don't know for sure, but maybe there are skyscrapers in small towns too? Skyscrapers ... they are beautiful and majestic. And skyscrapers in the style of black white abstract art and black white monochrome art are also mysterious. Black oil. Snow-white acrylic. A unique background, as if washed out by the rain ... Yes, the backgrounds of my paintings are unique: bright white acrylic and textured background, on which black oil forms a variety of patterns.

Hello! My name is Valerie Koval. And I am an artist from Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek city. I know I need to write a beautiful story (or at least an interesting one) about myself. But unfortunately, I am completely unable to talk about myself, about my life, and I know nothing about my work. How I like to say: I am just a creator and my task is to bring pictures into this world. I do not know their meaning and I do not know what they are about. I just live my painting and paint every day. Ideas for paintings come by themselves. Often I don't know what to draw, but I just start to draw and something turns out. And the meaning of the picture, I think, will be seen by the one who likes it. And the picture itself will tell this person its story, not me. What I can tell you for sure is that I love black and white colors. Almost all of my paintings are painted in black and white monochrome style. I think black and white are the most beautiful, stylish colors. I also love the cubism style and often draw geometric shapes. They also look very impressive. What a style? I think my style is minimalism style, monochrome style and cubism (geometric). Sometimes I paint abstraction using different colors. But more often I use black and white, or one of the colors, for example green and add my favorite black. I have always loved drawing and graduated from art school. But in high school I became interested in psychology and went to university to study psychology and psychiatry. I have devoted many years to this profession, reached professional heights. But all this time I continued to draw and one day I realized that I did not want to study psychology. My creative soul demanded beauty! And for several years now I have been painting. I think this is all that I can tell about myself. Maybe later I will add something, but for now that's all. See you later!
