STATEMENT Have you ever got so absorbed in your thoughts that without realizing it, your vision just got blurred? In that precise moment, you are not looking at anything in particular. Then, whatever lies before your eyes is fused in a succession of images, composed of undefined objects, lights and shapes. I am interested in finding the beauty in everyday things, that which surrounds us and goes unnoticed due to the speed in which our lives unfold and because we take them for granted. I enjoy highlighting insignificant moments, giving them an entity they never possessed. Likewise, I am interested in painting objects that are traversed by time, experienced. The beauty of the ordinary is found beneath the murmur of our thoughts. Humanness and what men leave behind in their life’s trajectory is the main theme of my work. I am moved by how we carry our bodies and souls in pieces trying to unite them as a whole, believing that we achieve this from time to time. The images are drained from us like water, dismantled, fragmented, frayed, incomplete… we just manage to hold on to some, as testimony of our existence. Viste cuando te quedás absorto en tus pensamientos y sin querer desenfocás la vista, en ese momento no miras nada en concreto, ahí es cuando lo que está frente a tus ojos se funde en una sucesión de imágenes compuestas por objetos, luces y formas poco definidas . Eso es lo que intento pintar Me interesa encontrar la belleza que hay en lo cotidiano, lo que pasa desapercibido por la velocidad en que la vida transcurre y por estar siempre ahí, alrededor nuestro. Me gusta resaltar momentos insignificantes, darles una entidad que jamás tuvieron, me interesa también pintar objetos atravesados por el tiempo, vividos. La belleza de lo cotidiano se encuentra detrás del murmullo de nuestros pensamientos. En mi obra está principalmente lo humano y lo que éste deja atrás en su camino por la vida. Me conmueve ver como llevamos nuestros cuerpos y almas de a pedazos tratando de unirlos en un conjunto, creyendo de tanto y tanto que lo logramos. Las imágenes se nos escurren como agua, desarmadas, fragmentadas, deshilachadas, incompletas... Sólo conseguimos retener algunas, como testimonio de nuestra existencia.
