Tania is a Melbourne based artist. After graduating from Camberwell College of Arts, London, she moved initially to Paris to work in the fashion industry and from there pursued a career as a graphic designer in London and New York. Looking for sunshine and sea with her family, she moved to Australia to set up a studio to focus on her painting. Tania’s practice is driven by the exploration of nature based imagery that explores the permanent and impermanent. Unashamedly aesthetic, beautiful and little bit unnerving, frayed edges fall into darkness, shadows loom on the edge of the periphery and sharp bright edges are brought into focus.
