ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The DJ painting series is inspired by the mixture of art history and themes from popular culture, influenced by my life experiences. In this series I used to work with the representation of DJ´s as a symbol of the courage and fearlessness required to orchestrate our own lives. Like a fusion of Bach with Cumbias I blend graffiti roots with fine art academy techniques to incorporate geometric symbolism and secret poems written with a self-created calligraphy developed by me.

Serrano explores the relationship between geometry and dynamic forms to represent the passage of time in a person’s life, often shaped by challenges, interactions, and encounters. The incorporation of his self-created calligraphy describes secret poems with healing ideograms. At the same time René produces his main abstract series, nourishes another creative work in his studio: a portrait series.
