About The Artwork

Will kindness, love, and beauty save the world? The world and people don’t want to be saved. Since the beginning of time until today the humankind has been living in hypocrisy. The ideals of good and peace have remained elusive for those who have greed and lust for power in their hearts. A fledgling sprout will be smashed, the one who dares to break the conspiracy of silence will be destroyed, and the beauty will turn to dust. The image of a white bird, a white dove was frequently used by the artists as a symbol of fairness, purity, and innocence. Later, in Christian iconography, a dove also symbolized the Holy Spirit. The wing beat of a beautiful and fragile white bird keeps hope alive in the hearts of the people. The 21st-century dove is of another kind. The graffiti by a well-known street artist Banksy on a wall separating Palestine and Israel features a dove wearing an armored vest with the target pointed at its chest. On a painting by Kamara, the target was hit. Good shot. A beautiful woman is trying to pull out the arrows of human loathing. Her wounds are bleeding, but she is still alive. Our world is incredibly cruel and murder has become people’s religion. That is also what the new film by Lars von Trier is about.
