Taught the language of the sea and the stars by his father, he was growing easily into the traditional life of casting nets and lines for his livelihood. Content to be content. But one day, a family arrived in his village while on travels from their mountain home. With them was their most beautiful eldest daughter, Genevieve. She put the sun to shame with her humble radiance. She was the match that started his flame, and Daniel fell instantly and ferociously in love. When Genevieve returned home, she absentmindedly took his heart with her. And so now, Daniel is destined to wander the hills, caught between two worlds of seemingly conflicting longings. Eternally pulling the boat of tradition while in search of the world where his passion resides.
