Dappled July Morning Painting

I was in awe of the way the first rays of the early morning sunshine illuminated the scene before me. A steep rock wall on the left side with boulders, some grass and old stunted trees on the other and here was this path leading down to the edge of the steep precipitous hill.I set up my easel And set to work trying to capture the dappled ever changing morning light before it changed ... and it did. Rapidly. I went back the next morning, it was as beautiful as the day before. I absolutely love painting wn plein air, hearing the birds and chipmunks around me. The hot July air and gentle waft of a breeze heightening all my senses. This is one of many paintings to come from the Garrett Mountain Reservation On the steep rocky hillside overlooking the metropolitan area Of Paterson New Jersey.
