I love to work in layers. And, I don't make excuses for the amount of colour I choose to use. There was a time when I tried to be more subtle, but that does not work for me in my work. Each painting evolves into the painting that it become. Sometimes I begin with the end in mind, but more often I begin with some sense of where I want to go, and then I let it go.
