Visiting Christchurch in New Zealand after the earthquake has left a huge impression on me. It made me realize how small we are compared to the forces of nature. Images of partly destroyed buildings stayed with me and resulted in a series of more or less abstract paintings. My work is about the volatility and transiency of life.
