There was a pack of wolves behind my studio for many days this winter. Watching them sleep, play, set up for a hunt, was mesmerizing. Their actions were so similar my dogs. The elk would pay no attention to them as they were sleeping but be well aware of the movement when they woke up. Dinner Party is inspired by those sightings. Painted in a style that utilizes the concepts of Chromoluminarism and impressionism. The wolves are walking towards the viewer engaging them in a dialog.

International Wildlife Artist Patricia A Griffin's studio is in the Teton National Park, Jackson Wyoming. Wolves, moose, bear, cougar, elk, and coyote are her neighbors and her muse. Her work has shown in 19 Museums, 20 Solo exhibits, and 189 group shows. Griffin's work is collected from Dallas to Dubai. She goes to great lengths to study, photograph and sketch her kinetic subjects in their natural habitat. Griffin’s vibrant color and complex compositions explore the flesh, fur and nature of the animal. The rich materialism of her creations connects with the intangible beast’s soul and their energy is shared. These pieces burn slowly as they stir the mind into daydreams of encounters with exotic and indigenous creatures.
