ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This mesmerizing oil painting depicts a gorgeous pink lotus floating gently on the surface of a tranquil pond, illuminated by the warm glow of a vibrant sunset. The painting captures the tranquility and serenity of nature, evoking feelings of peace and calmness in the viewer. The use of oil paint creates textures that add to the painting's charm and appeal, especially in the water area that has a realistic feel with its rippling surface. The reflection of the pink lotus on the crystal clear water creates an illusion, engendering a sense of harmony between the blooming lotus and the environment around it. The painting's color scheme blends beautifully to give the sunset a warm and lively ambiance, with shades of yellow, red, and orange creating a captivating and eye-catching view of the sky. The pink hue of the lotus softly pops out, accentuated by the warm tones of the sunset and the water. This painting will add a touch of serenity to any room it graces and can be appreciated by art enthusiasts of all ages. It's a perfect choice for those seeking a painting that depicts the beauty of nature, evokes a sense of tranquility, and provides a visual escape from the stresses of everyday life.

Olga Volna, professional artist currently living in Yerevan, Armenia. Olga was born in Voronezh in 1986, where she lives and works up to the present time. She did not come into the art at once: her first education was in economics, from 2004 she worked as an accountant. In 2015, Olga made her first drawings in zentangle technique and since then she has tried a sufficient number of techniques, this path has led her to new solutions in the field of contemporary art. One of the large series of paintings was created in 2018 and included 40 landscapes painted by acrylic in a bright pastose style. During the same period, Olga's attention was attracted by collage technique and she began to actively try existing approaches and develop her own. The author focused on working with used fabrics and paper, taking them as a basis for her artistic method. Olga is currently working on projects devoted to the constant beauty of nature. Most of the time the artist spends in his studio, creating works in the traditional painting technique. She is a regular participant in national and international exhibitions. Olga has founded an online educational project for artists, which has more than 10 thousand participants. The artist spends her leisure time with her family: she is married and raising her daughter. She prefers active rest and mountain hiking.
