ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The inspiration for this work came from feeling uncomfortable and out of place. It’s about finding yourself and trying out new spaces, people, and tastes. The viewer looks out into a slightly disturbing/erotic scene as the main protagonist (found facing away toward the viewer in the foreground) looks distraught and irritable. I identified with this character as this is how I felt at the time. What am I doing here? Why am I here? Do I belong? Etc.
