What started as a mere chance over a decade ago while cleaning my brushes onto a new canvas, began as a motif that would soon evolve over the years into thick impasto paintings with mixed media, gold leaf and glass. Back in 2009 while clean my brushes on to a fresh canvas in circular motions, the colors began to connect in such a way that excited me. They would soon be called the "Dripping Dots" and today have developed with an intention to demonstrate dazzling color, textures that dance, and a foundation of shape which grounds the dots to pop and pixilate. I want to take the viewer on a journey to different parts of the world with each painting. After the piece is completed, I try to name the work after a destination which evokes a certain mood and nostalgia. From Monaco to Barcelona and the South of France, each painting's unique voice vibrates with color, emotion and transcendental energy which brings us to these exotic locations instantly.
