ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was completed as a college project studying the district of Holyrood in Edinburgh. It was part of an overall abstract study of the modernist rebuilding of this area and the intention was to make it flat and geometric to accentuate the rise in brutalist architecture which was being erected throughout the Old Town starting in the mid 1960's. Oil on Hardboard.
