ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This original painting "Dunrobin Barn" is a rendering of an old Barn found near the Carp Ridge overlooking the Gatineau Hills. This area just West of Ottawa is part of the Ottawa Valley where there are many old farms still occupied and worked by the same families that settled there 200 years ago. It is not what you put in a painting; its what you leave out that makes a good painting, so I want the viewers eye to go directly to the barn with its simple line and form. The rest of the motif is kept to a minimum to amplify this.
