Dusk Painting

Winter is the season in which stillness abounds. Cool blue shadows stretch across the field. In constant, the warm light of the setting sun reminded me that seasons change. I hope this painting provides viewers with a sense of peace and tranquility. I'm inspired by the genre of Romanticism and the sublime grandeur of nature. I use a glazing technique which involves making transparent veils of color. Their jewel-like qualities remind me if watercolor. I chose to paint with oil on arches paper, which was preprinted.
