(1979, St. Petersburg, Russia) Abstract artist. Drawing has been the most involving process for Yas since childhood. He enthusiastically sketched subjects that impressed as if appropriating them. On the other hand, painting was an opportunity to express images and emotions that filled. Yas was influenced by Dutch masters (Peter Klas, Jan van Os, Jan van Heysum), Italian Renaissance artists (Da Vinci, Raphael), Russian avangard (Kandinsky, Suetin) and folk art (Zhostovo painting). Smoothly he came to abstract art through the passion for contemporaries (Rothko, Pollock, Bacon, Ghenie) and abstract minimalism (Toko Shinoda), Japanese calligraphy and Gohua. Today Yas defines the features of pure abstract art as a pinnacle of actual art: - expressiveness, spontaneity, - harmony of composition, - beauty, aesthetics of images, - conviction, confidence of artwork, - fullness with content, meanings, - authenticity, hand-made. These are his guidelines for creating paintings. In the artworks Yas expresses own view on beauty.
